Abstract

Article Type Abstract Format Word Limit
Original Research Structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions) 250 words
Review Articles Structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions) 300 words
Perspectives Unstructured 150 words
Case Reports Unstructured 150 words

Abbreviations

Define all abbreviations at first use in the abstract and again in the main text. Avoid non-standard abbreviations. A list of abbreviations should be provided after the abstract if more than 10 abbreviations are used.

Reference List Format

List all references at the end of the manuscript. Use the following formats:

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo rigorous peer review to ensure scientific quality and integrity.

1

Initial Screening

The editorial office checks manuscripts for completeness, scope fit, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts not meeting requirements may be returned without review.

Editorial Assessment

The Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor evaluates the manuscript's scientific merit and relevance. Suitable manuscripts proceed to peer review.

3

Peer Review

Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the field. APJLM uses single-blind peer review (reviewers are anonymous to authors).

4

Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer recommendations, the handling editor makes a decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Authors receive detailed feedback.

5
